BUPA Health Insurance FAQs
if i get ill and need to be hospitalised and need to get various tests done can I get them done through a private doctor and BUPA will take care of the expenses? Is that correct?
Before any treatment is carried out, you will need to call BUPA on 0845 604 0612 and obtain a pre-authorisation number. You can also discuss which hospitals are available to you, but it is vital that the pre authorisation number is obtained before having treatment.
If my doctor suggests physiotherapy for my back, I can go to any doctor and BUPA will take care of the sessions costs?
If you have been referred by your GP, you will still need to contact BUPA to again obtain a pre-authorisation number. Once obtained, treatment can be carried out and then you can claim the cost of it back.
