This article will help you in getting started to use the eCalendar application on eDesk Online.
Advantages and features
There are several time-saving features which will help us in our day to day activities.
- You can edit and view your calendar events anywhere and at anytime.
- There is minimum chances that you can miss out any important event.
- You can set the calendar alert to your personal mobile Where in you will be alerted by an sms on your phone number provided.
- You can set numerous calendar events at a time.
- The calendar alerts can be set hourly wise you can view and delete the unnecessary alerts set.

- Personal calendar
- By default, all data can be accessed by yourself only.
- Share your personal agenda and access shared agendas.
- Layer agendas to quickly view timezones available for several people
- Access rights for group members (view details, add, delete)

Integration with other functions like email, cabinet, accounts
- Accounts: One may schedule that the status of a ledger to be emailed out at the time of one's choice.
- Stocks: One may schedule that the status of the portfolio to be emailed out at the time of one's choice.
- Address book: One may schedule contact information to be emailed, and set it to go out at the time of one's choice.
- Email: One may schedule emails; i.e one may draft an email, and set it to go out at the time of one's choice.
- Cabinet and drawers: One may schedule that a form be set to go out at the time of one's choice.
Opening the eCalendar tool
- Click on Start >> Programs >> My eCalendar
Adding an event to the Calendar
- To add an event click select the month, date and year from the left hand panel and select a time from the dropdown box on the right.
- In the Topic field type in the event details.
- Click on Add Event Button to save the event details for that particular time.
Step 1: Open eCalendar
- Click on Start >> Programs >> My eCalendar
Step 2: Add an event

Step 3: Set eMail alerts
- To set an alert which you will receive in your eMail inbox, click on the Create New eMail Alert link.
- Input information for the Date, Time, Subject, Message, eMail Alert To fields.
- Click on Save.
Copy entire Calendar events to your mobile phone
You can back up your Calendar events to your mobile phone now any GPRS enabled phone will allow you to download all your calendar events and keep a back up in your mobile phone device.

Create a copy of calendar event on your mobile phone
Once you have set a calendar reminder on eDeskOnline, you can copy the same alert to your mobile phone.
- Setup a normal reminder on eDeskOnline.
- Additionally while setting the reminder, SMS the event to the recipient's mobile phone.
- The person who receives the SMS can save this alert on the calendar feature within his mobile phone.
- Now the mobile will alert on the alert day.
Backup of Calendar events from eDeskOnline to your webtop
- First login to your edeskonline account.
- Then click on Start > Import/Export > Export > Calender Export.
- After doing so, a zip file containing all your Calender Events will be downloaded
- Click on Save, and you're done.
