Uses
ePortfolio is used to track your share investments on the National Stock Exchange(NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) as well as your mutual fund investments. All the prices are updated automatically daily and the earnings are linked with your eAccounts. Capital Gains and profit figures are automatically calculated.
This allows you to keep an online record of your stock/share trading/investment transactions. The create portfolio option allows you to create an investment Portfolio for
- Capital Gains
- Non-speculative Business Income
- Speculative Business Income
You can track your portfolio and also check how it is perfoming by simply entering the transactions into eDeskOnline's ePortfolio or you can also import the share transactions copy obtained from your stock traders onto eDeskOnline, which would definately save your time and likewise you would not missout any transactions done during the day. You can also track your Mutual Fund Portfolio Performance through eDeskOnline.
Create an ePortfolio
- Login to your eDesk Online account, to obtain your webtop.
- Click On portfolio Icon on edesk Webtop
- Click on equity performance >> Create portfolio
- Enter portfolio name
- Select the portfolio type
- Drop down the list and stock valuation
- Click on create button
- Once the portfolio is created now you required to open ledger accounts in order to import the trade books
Viewing ePortfolio
to view your ePortfolio click on Portfolio performance.
You will view the portfolio summary as follows:

Importing Trade Book
Trade books are the softcopy of the contract notes which will contain the details such as the name of the company and Quantities bought, Quantities Sold, STT, Commission / Brokerage, Services tax, and the other cost. Using the trade book you can import the whole trade book in one shot there by avoiding manual entry of contract notes in to your book of accounts.
- Click on portfolio icon
- Click on import trade book (Select the import trade book with your broker name)
- Select the portfolio (Dropdown the list if you have multiple portfolios)
- Select your Purchases A/c, Sales A/c, Broker A/c, STT A/c, Services Tax, A/c, Other Cost A/c,
- Select the trade book file by clicking on Browse Button.
- Click on import Button
You may also choose to send us the trade book that your brokerage firm gives to you (e.g. Bricks Securities in Pune ). We will do the set up once: subsequently you will be able to insert the daily trade book yourself. We shall of course be always available for your support.
