A one-time set-up is necessary for the alerts to work

To set up the From address

Right click this link how to setup the from address. Then follow the instructions there.

To set up the To address .

  • Login into eDeskOnline
  • The Webtop will open.
  • Click on start option which is displayed on the left hand side bottom of the page
  • Then go to Control Panel
  • Click on eProfile.
  • The following image will show up as a new window. You have to fill in the details.
  • Click on Save. The set up is complete.

Automatic alerts

Alerts are automatically mailed to the email id of one's choice.

Automatic alerts: From the cabinet

One may need to get information of the work done by our colleagues in the cabinet section of eDeskOnline. This could be ann editing the eForms, or creating a new eForms. One will receive an eMail everytime a change takes place in the eCabinet section.

Automatic alerts: From the addressbook

One may need to get information of the work done by our colleagues in the Address-book section of eDeskOnline. This could be ann editing the Contact Forms, or creating a new Form. One will receive an eMail everytime a change takes place.

Non Automatic alerts

Address book Alert

To set an Address book alert:

  • Login into eDeskOnline
  • Click on the Address book icon on the webtop.
  • Select the contact form upon which one wishes to set the reminder
  • On the top of the contact you will find a link called Set Reminder.
  • Click on that link
  • Enter the desired Date, Time, subject, Summary, When to remind, and other required details
  • Click on Save
  • The alert will be activated.

Calendar Alert

Calendar Alerts remind persons about their personal engagements, events, etc. eDeskOnline's Calendar alerts therefore give information regarding Event Name, Event Details, and Event Date / Time.

  • Login into eDeskOnline
  • Click on the icon called Calendar
  • A new window will open.
  • Click on New Reminder link provided on the top left hand side corner of the window.
  • Another small window will open.
  • You will have to fill the details of the alert which you want to set.
  • Hit on Save Button which will save your reminder.

eMail scheduler

One may schedule emails. That is, one may have an email which needs to be sent out at a time and frequency of one's choice. For this,

  • Login into eDeskOnline; a Webtop will appear.
  • Click on the icon eMail
  • Choose the particular folder (e.g. Inbox, Sent Box).
  • Open the mail which you want to set ( as per the images below).
  • Click on the link Set Reminder. A new screen will open up ( as per the images below).
  • Input the necessary information like time and date
  • Click on save: the reminder will be saved.
  • You will then receive emailed alerts

Note:

  • If you want to set the reminders to multiple email ids, simply enter multiple email ids one after the other; separated by commas (i.e. ,)
  • Please do NOT DELETE the email after setting up the reminder. If you delete the email, the associated reminder will also get deleted.
  • At any time, you can review all the reminders that you have set by clicking on the link on the top right of the mailbox. This reads Reminders

Stock Portfolio Alert

eDeskOnline Portfolio Alerts update users with a summary, or the details of his portfolio. The frequency can be set to daily, weekly, monthly. Information in the email sent includes: Portfolio, Portfolio Size , Invested Amount , Market Value ,Today's Profit , Today's % Change Overall Profit ,% Profit on Investment , and the % Profit on Portfolio Size

  • Login into eDeskOnline. One will see a Webtop open up. There click on the icon called Stock Portfolio.
  • A new window will open which will look like the first image below.
  • Click on eMail Reports link provided on the top of the window.
  • Another small window will open which will look like the second image below
  • Fill up the details e.g. Report, To, Frequency & Time. Please note that in the report field there are two options. We have to select any one option. The two options are the Summary which will look like the second-last image below; and the Detailed view: which will look like the last image below. However, if we wish to have both the reports, then we have to set seperate alerts for each report.
  • After you have completed filling the details you can hit on Save Button.
  • This will save your reminder. You will start to receive the portfolio report.
