Benefits of synchronizing your mobile with edeskonline
- No need to maintain two sets of calendars: one on your computer, and the other on your cell-phone.
- Now one can easily watch his / her reminders wherever he / she may be which are set in the eDeskOnline calendar.
- Your secretary can insert a calendar event using any internet enabled computer on eDeskOnline: you will be able to view ( or be alerted ) by these events on your mobile phone.
- A very simple one-time set-up allows your mobile-phone to integrate with your information on the edeskonline site

To import your calendar events to your phone,
We need to set up the alert on edeskonline (on the Internet). Then we need to import these calendar events to your phone. ( n.b.: currently this is a manual exercise: in the future, it will become automised). This is explained in sub-paras 1 and 2 below.
Set up the alert in edeskonline (on the Internet)
Please right click this link and follow the instructions there to set up the event. There is one difference from the procedure mentioned on the page. You will notice two options, viz. Alert via eMail and Synchronize with mobile calender. Please select Synchronize with mobile calender.

Import the above internet-based events to your mobile
- Open your Mobile Phone, and go the menu
- Select Application,
- Click on the icon = Edeskonline ; you will see an image (see the first image below).
- Click on the link: Download Calendar ; you will see an image (see the second image below). This implies that the events are being imported.
- Keep saying yes to the questions that will keep popping up.
- You will receive a final message that the events have been imported. This is easily checked by clicking on the main menu, and selecting Calendar.
