My eDesk is like a cockpit dashboard
This is the single most important tool made available to users. Very much like a cockpit dashboard which allows the pilot to fly a sophisticated airoplane, My eDesk allows you to manage your business. It shows at one glance all pre-flagged documents, acconting entries, and unread mails in one efficient view. My eDesk is a single platform where you can access your unread eMails, Flagged eForms, Flagged eMails, Flagged eDocuments, Flagged Journals, Calendar Events etc. It is a platform / dashboard which alerts you at a glance of anything important in your work and play.
Unread Mails
Unread mails of all kind can be accessed over here this option is helpful when you have cluttering inbox and you have missed a mail and you dont know where it is at that particular time you can just click on My eDesk and on the top there's a tab for Unread mails and all your unread mails will show up.
Flagged eForms
Again if you have a cluttered eCabinet it will make your life very difficult for searching for a particular eForm which was really important and was marked for further follow up in such scenarios you can simply click on Flagged eForms and it will show you which all eForms were flagged.
Flagged eMails
Reconsidering the first scenario if you have already read that mail and have also flagged for further follow up considering it as very important then you can simply access that mail using this tab. It shows all your flagged eMails in your Mailbox.
Flagged eDocuments
In same ways all your important documents which you had uploaded can be accessed through this tab.
Calendar Events
All your appointments for the day or for the future can be seen using this tab it saves your time of going to eCalendar and knowing which all events are supposed to be followed up.
Flagged Journals
Journals meritting attention can be viewed or accessed from here (provided they are flagged)
Common Error
When you click on icon = My eDesk the page might show error message in between the address bar & title bar which is as follow: (This site might require the following ActiveX control:'Adobe Flash Player Installer' from 'Adobe Systems Incorporated'. Click here to install....) This is actually not an error. It occurs because you dont have flash player installed on your system. That is why you saw this message from IE. Just click on click here to install. so that the Adobe Flash Player Installer gets installed on your system which will allow you to use the application without any further errors.
