Send an SMS using eDeskOnline's web-top
- Login to your eDeskOnline accont on the internet. A Webtop will come into view. This view contains several icons
- Click on the Send SMS icon. (Generally the second item from the right ).
- Now you can view the messages sent and also the content of the message on our SMS client on eDeskOnline.
- On the top pane you are provided with information about senders and receivers numbers.
- Also along with the numbers you can also view the message in brief, Date, Message count and also the Status.
- Message count represents the no of SMS credits consumed by the message you send.
- The status will give you the information whether the SMS you sent are being delivered or not to the receiver.
- You can directly send individual and group SMS as well from the same window.

Send an SMS by using the Address-book icon
- Click on the Addressbook icon. (Generally the second item from the left).
- A screen with all your contacts will show up. On the Left-hand side you will see an option column. There icons representing view contact, edit contact, delete & print label. Please Click on the link = view contact.
- A new screen will show up as under. On the top you can see a link called Send SMS: please click on that link.

The Compose SMS view

- After typing the desired message and entering the phone number, click on the button which reads OK to send the SMS.
In case of a new user
In case of a new user the screen will show the following message. This should be filled up to make payment via paypal. (Your available SMS balance is 0. You need to purchase a SMS pack before you can send SMS. Click here to purchase SMS Pack.) When you click on this: the page will show the following image.

Payment & Expiry
Once your balance is exhausted, a warning window will sttart showing up. You can then can make payment via paypal. This will immediately top-up your balance. You will then continue to be able to send SMSs.
Countries Supported
- Initially, you can create SMSs for recepients in India.
- The feature will be extended world-wide very soon.
There is no limit on the number of characters
- Anything more than 160 characters will be considered as a second message.
- CDMA mobile phones do accept messages exceeding 160 characters: it breaks it into multiple messages.
