Increase your productivity using eDeskOnline search
Imagine preparing for a telephone call to your friend: Joe Dias. It would be great if one could type "Joe Dias" in a search box and view all the emails, accounting vouchers, documents that may have his reference. The unique search tool at eDeskOnline allows you to do just that. At the click of a button, the search tool scans through all the data in your account and displays the results. The Search tool provides a method to to look for specific information in eForms, documents, databases, accounting entries.
The search box
- The search box is always visible at the bottom right of your webtop. So no matter what you are working on, accessing the search tool is very easy.
- We have to type in our query (e.g. Joe Dias) into the Search box.
- Hit the enter button on your keyboard.
- All information about Joe Dias will now appear on your screen as shown in the image below:
- One can see the tabs, eForms, eMails, Contacts, eDocuments and eJournals.
- We can see the first tab eForm is always shown in a default situation.
- After clicking on Second tab eMails all the mails which are sent to Joe Dias or received from him will be displayed in this tab.
- In the Contact tab you can view all the contact information like the telephone no., Mobile no., e-mail address, etc.,
- eDocuments under this tab we can find the documents which were stored by the specific name given in the search string at the time of search. for eg., all the eDocuments which contain the name Joe Dias will show up in the search tab eDocuments.
- eJournals under this tab you can find the Journal Entries made by the name Joe Dias.
Types of searches possible
- Search for all documents that contain ALL the search terms you type, in any order (e.g. the search term, e.g. Joe Dias will match Joe M Dias, Dias Joe M and Joe Dias)
- Search for all documents that contain the exact phrase you type in (e.g. the search term "Joe Dias" will only match Joe Dias)
- Search for all documents that do NOT contain a word you type in (use the - sign before the word that serves to exclude some results) An example of such a use is Joe Dias -actor which will match all records containing Joe and Dias in any order but NOT containing the word actor anywhere.
